Job Description

  • Command and operate the vessel safely and efficiently.
  • Ensure compliance with international and local maritime regulations.
  • Plan and execute voyages, including route planning and navigation.
  • Manage and supervise the crew, including hiring and training.
  • Oversee the loading and unloading of cargo.
  • Conduct regular safety drills and inspections.
  • Maintain detailed logs and records of the vessel's operations.
  • Handle emergencies and make quick decisions under pressure.
  • Ensure the vessel is properly maintained and repaired.
  • Communicate with maritime authorities and other vessels.
  • Monitor weather conditions and adjust plans accordingly.
  • Ensure the safety of all passengers and crew members.
  • Oversee the financial management of the vessel.
  • Implement and enforce safety and security protocols.
  • Coordinate with port authorities for docking and departure.
  • Manage the vessel's budget and resources efficiently.
  • Ensure all equipment is in good working order.
  • Conduct performance evaluations for crew members.
  • Handle disputes and conflicts among the crew.
  • Stay updated with the latest maritime laws and regulations.

Skills and Qualifications:

AT LEAST 18 MONTHS OF EXPERIENCE AS MASTER

WITH OR WITHOUT VALID US VISA
